"Remember Me" - Pearls, Pumps and Parsons! raises $135,000
Remember Me made its world premiere, live on stage in New York City, in January, 2009, to sold-out audiences at The Joyce Theater. Kansas City then welcomed Remember Me, David Parsons' first full-length ballet, created for Parsons Dance and The East Village Opera Company, which played to a sold-out, standing-room only audience at the Folly Theater on November 13, 2009.

Remember Me was commissioned in part by Dr. Edward and Merry Prostic honoring the memory of their daughter, Elizabeth Anne Prostic, and presented by the Harriman-Jewell Series. Following the performance, an on-stage benefit, Pearls, Pumps and Parsons! raised $135,000 for local and national programs of The MetaCancer Foundation. The on-stage celebration began with Elizabeth Prostic's daughter Harper drawing names of lucky winners of pearls from Wanda Allen and Tom Tivol, ballet shoes signed by David Parsons, and a trip to New York for the Parsons season.
