The MetaCancer Foundation

The mission of The MetaCancer Foundation is to improve the psychosocial condition of people living with metastatic cancers.

The MetaCancer Foundation seeks to fulfill this mission primarily by using the power and accessibility of the Internet to reach survivors and caregivers who may be geographically dispersed, disinclined to leave their homes, and particularly anxious about the diagnosis of an incurable or terminal disease.  We provide a superlative online oasis at www.metacancer.org that seeks to empower people living with various kinds of cancer that has metastasized.  Our primary goals are:

• To provide the benefits of online community, support, and resources focused on the unique psychological and emotional aspects of living with metastatic cancer.
   
• To provide creative and artistic online features that suggest new and better ways of feeling a sense of control, or expressing a range of emotions, for site users living with an incurable or terminal disease.
   
• To provide grants to other nonprofit organizations that can lead to content for www.metacancer.org while also serving the psychosocial needs of survivors and caregivers living with metastatic cancers.
